When you step into HR, you do not expect the role to involve so much about constantly putting out fires. But over time, that’s often where it evolves - a performance issue here, a conflict there, a leadership escalation that “just needs sorting quickly” and it always seems to be at the end of the week!

So on this Friday afternoon - HR will do what they can to put out a "fire", but it’s time to understand systemic root causes to make lasting changes and prevent the fire from flaring up again.
