In today's Steve Hunter (Director, Sales Engineering ANZ Arctic Wolf) discusses reducing cyber risk for SMEs.

There are two key components to the risk mitigation equation for any businesses

1. Mitigating cyber risk by reducing the probability of the risk occurring and
2. Minimising the impact of that risk should it occur

We can reduce both of these to as close to zero as possible and we have effectively ended cyber risk for that business.

For SMEs, this can be a difficult task. The IT function will generally sit under the CFO or General Manager and will not have the in-house capabilities to manage cyber risk appropriately.
