How to p**s off a chef in any good hotel.

I have a thing about egg yolk (see autism) so I avoid ordering eggs for fear of a runny yolk.

This morning though I really felt like a poached egg white with avocado etc

I approach the egg bar all smiles.

May I have a hard poached egg please.

Well, this was a rather lovely way to spend an evening in Prague.

I’m incredibly proud to have received the 2026 Digital Entrepreneur Award at the World Congress.

And while my name might be on the award, what it represents matters far more to me.

Small and medium businesses everywhere are trying to work out what AI means for them.

Not Silicon Valley AI.
Not enterprise AI with enormous teams, budgets and consultants.

Practical AI for the businesses employing people, serving communities and keeping local economies moving.

And increasingly, I believe SMEs need the GIST of AI:

Guardrails. Intent. Strategy. Practical Training.

Because the shiny tools are the easy bit.

Without guardrails, people don’t know what’s safe.

Without intent, AI becomes another subscription looking for a problem.

Without strategy, everyone heads off in different directions.

And without practical training, none of the above makes it into the everyday work of the business.

Whether you’re running a business in regional Australia, Prague, Monaco, Germany, Mexico, the US or anywhere else, those fundamentals don’t really change.

That’s also been one of the strongest reminders for me this week. Different countries. Different industries. Different languages. Very similar conversations about how we help businesses and their people navigate what comes next.

Day one of the 73rd World Congress is done.

I’ve shared my reflections from the days conversations on LinkedIn if you’re interested… otherwise here is the photo updates.

My whole life I’ve read and watched documentaries on Europe. Nothing in my wildest dreams prepared me for the beauty of the architecture and the people though.

The Congress is being held at National House Vinohrady built in 1894.

Last night the cocktail event was at Martinic Palace. Built on the second half of 16th century and contains strong connections to the start of the thirty year war.

Day two of the Congress begins shortly and I’m feeling very honoured to be speaking as part of an international panel.

Got up early today to beat the crowds and see Charles Bridge properly

A wander through “Lesser Town” to see the John Lennon wall and the canals.

Even found a statue to St John Travolta. Just gone 9am and already walked 5km

My first full day in Prague and I’ve walked almost 27,000 steps.

It’s almost indescribable how beautiful this place is. The history is palpable and the architecture, stunning.

Had some fabulous conversations with women from the EU around AI governance over cocktails, so it’s not all sightseeing and photography.

Heading into Sunday feeling incredibly blessed to be here.

Sitting in the Brisbane departure lounge waiting for my 9pm flight I’m still kicking myself that I’m off to Prague.

Looking forward to connecting with the amazing women attending the FCEM Congress and catching up with the ladies

Learning from the brightest female entrepreneurs from around the globe. I’m absolutely chuffed to be speaking as part of the Congress.
