Our Bathurst Towing team working tonight, with the assistance of Bathurst Highway Patrol, to extract a car from the Oberon road roundabout.
We opted to do the recovery during the night to minimise disruption to the busy daytime traffic as we had to close the highway momentarily for the extraction.

Bathurst Towing are seeking to employ a casual weekend/on call person.
The position will require being scheduled on our on call roster to assist with weekend work.
The successful applicant will hold a minimum MR truck licence and take a truck home for the weekend to work on an on call basis as the work load requires. Jobs will include accidents, breakdowns and trade work throughout the weekend.
An on call allowance will be paid with a per call out hourly rate on top.

This job would be suitable for someone looking for a second job or someone looking to make a bit extra on top of their normal week, ideally Friday night to Sunday night inclusive.

When you see the flashing lights of stationary tow trucks and emergency vehicles on roads with a speed limit of 80km/h or more, motorists must:
🐢Slow down safely to a speed that is reasonable for the circumstances
🆘Provide sufficient space between their vehicle and the stationary vehicle displaying flashing lights.
🔀Change lanes on a multi-lane road if it is safe to do so.
➡️Only increase your speed once you have passed all people and emergency vehicles involved.
