It's nonsensical and yet people do it thinking this achieves gorse control.

No it does not.

If you only treat half the bush with herbicide it WILL KEEP GROWING where you missed.

It will keep adding gorse seed into the land on the side of the live material AND in the right conditions it will also throw its seeds from the live material back into the land on the side where the plant is dead.

Own goal. Cosmetic outcome. Gorse persists.

Here is how to spray properly to ensure the whole bush dies.

Been busy at dac earthmoving we are currently focused on getting these properties fully prepared and operational by addressing three critical areas: fire management and land clearing, site access, and livestock readiness. Our team is actively clearing dense undergrowth and establishing firebreaks to ensure the land is bushfire-ready. Simultaneously, we are grading tracks and clearing gorse blackberries and brush to guarantee seamless access across the acreage for vehicles and heavy machinery. Finally we are inspecting all water catchments and containment areas to ensure the property is secure and fully equipped to handle incoming stock.
