Small Business Month is coming up this October!

Wagga Wagga City Council is hosting a free event for local business owners and operators, bringing together updates and practical information on what’s happening across the small business sector.

Hear about the current state of small business in NSW, Wagga’s economic outlook, major projects underway across the city and the support available to local businesses.

The program will include updates from Dr Joe McGirr MP, Wagga Wagga City Council and key business support organisations.

Street x Street Wagga will launch in Fitzmaurice Street and surrounds from 1-7 November 2026, creating new opportunities for businesses to attract customers, trial fresh ideas and be part of a vibrant evening economy.

Whether it's extended trading hours, a special offer, live entertainment, a workshop, or a collaboration with neighbouring businesses, there's plenty of flexibility to get involved. Participation is free, with businesses receiving promotional support, marketing assets and inclusion in the official program.

Committee 4 Wagga is excited to see local businesses help shape this new city initiative and create even more reasons for residents and visitors to enjoy our C*D.

September was another busy month for the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber, bringing together local business, building capability and continuing to advocate for our city.

🤖 Business After Hours with AI Agent Bee brought a great crowd together to connect and explore what emerging AI could mean for regional businesses.

☕ Our regular Coffee + Connections and Drop-In Drinks kept the conversations going, providing relaxed opportunities for Wagga’s business community to meet, reconnect and build new relationships.

🏛️ Advocacy remained a key focus, with Business Manager Sally Manning travelling to NSW Parliament for the debate on the duplication of the Gobbagombalin Bridge. The debate followed the Bridge to the Future petition, led by Dr Joe McGirr MP and supported by the Chamber and Committee for Wagga, which secured more than 10,000 signatures.

💼 Our Business Breakfast with Omnia Inclusive Employment Solutions gave local businesses an insight into inclusive employment and the pathways available to connect people with meaningful work.

📈 The Wagga Business Chamber Leadership Program also continued, supporting local business owners, managers and emerging leaders to build their skills and capability.
