The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) was established in 2016 to bring together many of the key functions that drive land use, infrastructure and transport. The Agency aims to drive the sustainable, economic and social advancement of the Northern Territory through land use and transport planning, infrastructure investment and effective logistics supply chains. Apart from creating a vibrant future for Territorians, DIPL offers employees the opportunity to develop careers within the Public Sector and across many disciplines.

As a Land Information Officer your primary objective is to maintain the integrity of survey land records and information systems through the provision of timely and accurate advice and services to a range of stakeholders on related matters; such as survey plan lodgements and approvals, land records and tenure. Applying your high-level communication skills you will be responsible for preparing a range of correspondence and reports, developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships, and supporting the implementation of initiatives and new policies.

To be successful you require demonstrated knowledge and operational experience in land survey, land administration or development, experience maintaining geospatial or land survey data through the use of integrated information systems and sound project and time management skills. The ability to interactive effectively with a team and a range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.

As a Surveyor perform cadastral and geodetic survey services to maintain the Territory’s geospatial reference systems and infrastructure, which support the administration of the land surveying regulatory framework in the Northern Territory. Applying your communication skills you will also be responsible for preparing a range of correspondence and reports, developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships, and supporting the implementation of initiatives and new policies.
