✨ TIDDAS IN TRAINING ✨

Are you a female interested in a pathway into the construction industry? One that doesn't require you to:

❌ Work on a building site full-time
❌ Get your hands dirty
❌ Working in the summer heat!

A career in Building Design allows use your creative expression to design beautiful homes. You'll utilise modern Computer Aided Drafting software to prepare design plans used for planning approvals, construction, and stunning visualisations.

Our Tiddas in Training program gives you the opportunity to spend a week with our creative design team, learning the basics of this growing industry 😍

You'll be working alongside our Principal Designer, Roimatta Selway, a proud Wandandian woman from the south coast of NSW. We provide a culturally-safe and comfortable environment to learn in, whilst being supported by our industry-accredited staff as you learn 🙏

✅ Building design fundamentals
✅ Technical skills in ArchiCAD
✅ Learning planning controls
✅ Introduction to the "office" side of the Construction Industry
✅ White Card completed 👷

Through this landmark program, we're training the next generation of indigenous female building designers 💪
Participation is flexible. You can do a week block, or separate days as needed. Suitable for:

Spend one week, fulltime, in a culturally safe introductory program 'Tiddas in Training' to becoming a building designer.

The program will run on the last week of each month and is catered to one person per round.

This week we've taken receipt of Development Consent for a new home on behalf of one out fantastic clients 🙏

Note worthy is the 16 business day from submission to approval which is testament to the hard working team at City of Newcastle 👏

A shout out to Adam from Piper Planning in providing the supporting Statement of Environmental Effect 🌱

Parker Scanlon we're able to provide survey services to update a historic site survey, providing the most up to date spatial data to enable the design works 👌

Onward now to obtaining a Construction Certificate for the project 👷
