Why I’m doing this đŸ€

I wanted to share why this fundraiser - Brewing Change matters to me

For me, Mental Health Month is a reminder to stop and check in, with ourselves and with each other
I sit with people every week in my work and I see how many of us are quietly carrying a lot while we keep everyone else going.
Even in my own personal life I have suffered, had loss and impacted in many ways

That’s why I wanted to create a morning that’s easy and welcoming. Good coffee, good food, a bit of calm and time with other locals. And because I wanted it to give something back, a portion of every ticket goes to Black Dog Institute, who do such important work in mental health research and support.

If you’d like to come, or know someone who could use a morning like this, I’d love to see you there

Quick fixes are tempting. I get it
the changes that last are rarely the fast ones

They come from small things, done again and again, on the days you feel like it and the days you don’t.
Your brain and body learn through repetition. It’s just how we’re wired
Some weeks you’ll feel like you’re getting somewhere- Other weeks you’ll feel like you’re back at the start. That’s part of it.

This is what I do. And I don’t just teach it, I’ve lived it.

So if you’re after a 10-step overhaul by Friday, I’m probably not the right fit, and that’s okay. But if you want steady, honest support to make change that actually sticks, you’re in the right place. đŸ€

Proud to have Restore Wellness Studio on board for fundraiser event - Brewing Change đŸ€

Chloe will be there with some self-care and mindfulness exercises. It’s a gentle moment to slow down, connect and refill your cup

Thank you Chloe at Restore Wellness Yoga & Fitness Studio for supporting a morning to raise money for Black Dog Institute

Renata Revive is joining us on Sunday 25 October and offering a five-minute massage to guests on the morning

Renata works with people across a range of therapies, and truly cares about the wellbeing of our community as much as we do. Having her there means you get a real moment to pause and let your shoulders drop, which is what the morning is all about đŸ«¶

Brewing Change is a brunch morning at South Brew Café in Warragul, with a portion of every ticket going to Black Dog Institute for Mental Health Month.

📍 South Brew CafĂ©, Warragul
🗓 Sunday 25 October, 9:30am to 11:30am

All those around me have kept pointing it out
I have changed!

I would said “Thank you”

Why?

Because the person I am now didn’t come easy. I did the hard work, within me and within my life. And wow it was tough. Burnout. breakdown. A rollercoaster would have had fewer ups and downs

So why say thank you?

Because I’m proud. Proud of who I am, what I’ve learnt and what I’m doing now and how I am showing up for myself!

If you’re in the middle of your own changing-keep going. It’s worth it!

It can feel incredibly lonely - your closest people may not understand - but one thing is certain is life is always going to change no matter what

So choose your direction - take control of what you can do , show up for yourself!!

Ever notice how much energy worry takes... sometimes for something that hasn’t even happened yet?

But that doesn’t make it feel any less real in the moment.

If your mind tends to run ahead and pay debts that were never yours to pay, you’re not alone — and there are ways to bring it back to the present. đŸŒ±

Are you OK?

It’s a great question to ask today — but it shouldn’t stop today, each day & each moment count

Checking in, really listening, staying connected — that matters every day, not just once a year. Because a smile doesn’t always tell the full story. Someone can be doing “fine” on the outside and still be carrying a lot underneath

So ask the question. Then listen to the answer. Make space for the real one, not just the easy one.

A conversation can change a life — today, and any other day too💛
