It’s hard to believe I’m actually aging.
It feels like just yesterday I was sitting with my crazy friends, doing all the crazy things we loved.
Back then, we’d jump over stairs instead of walking them — taking shortcuts felt like the most natural thing.
We laughed out loud without hesitation, and running felt easier than walking.
But somewhere along the way, I started enjoying quiet time.
I fell in love with slowing down.
I became fond of silence over endless chatter,
preferred raw tea over milk and sugar,
and lemon water became more refreshing than Coke.
I started loving to listen more than to speak.
I used to look into the mirror to see how cool I was.
Now, I look to see how gracefully I’m aging —
how beautiful and powerful this journey has been,
a journey filled with stress, struggle, and growth.
My smile now feels more genuine.
My eyes speak louder than words ever could.
And I thank the higher power for helping me see how blessed I am every single day.
Now, my heart melts for anyone in pain.
I’ve become the person I always wanted to be —
a loving human, grounded in gratitude.
I’m so happy.
Happy for everyone.
Happy for everything.
