Thanks to Andrei Koeppen, Elizabeth Hoek, Errol Thorn, Greg Thorn, Leonie Thorne, Yonga Boys, Mark Penny and other community members who helped us to make this a great event. On behalf of members of Mitra & Board of Management thanks to everyone who participated and helped. We are pleased to see major stakeholders were represented at the ocassion. Thanks to Suellen Jerrard (BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina), Wayne Nannup (Deputy CEO South West Aboriginal Land & Sea Council), Allan James (Newmont Boddington Gold) and Steve mason (Murray River North - T&R Homes). Check this out. We are pleased to have had The Minister Honorable Terry Waldron (MLA and Member for Wagin electorate and Minister for Sports, recreation, Racing and Gaming) & his wife Mrs Noelene Waldron for the inaugural ceremony on 19th Sept (Friday). Our community members organised the inaugural project on 19th Sept at Boddington Old School. We were able to put on this event through great support from our Aboriginal community locally in Boddington, The Shire of Boddington, Boddington Community Resource Center and their team. Got the confirmation from Australian taxation Office; Application for Tax Concession Charity (TCC) and Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status for Mitra Community Empowerment Inc. was approved with effect 7th Aug 2014. We must thank support and help from supporters, members, board and also great guidance from staff of Department of Commerce (WA), Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC) & Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Truly very helpful in us achieve these endorsements.
