ENTERTAINMENT IS CONFIRMED!

Things are really starting to come together for Bare for Rare – The Great Wizard Shave, and we’ve got some exciting news!

We’re stoked to announce that we’ve got some great entertainment lined up for the day, including:

🐐 Paws & Reins Petting Zoo
🐴 Patty the Pony – Pony Rides
🕷️ Spider-Man
🎨 Face Painting - provided by Clair Malone
💇‍♀️ Hair Plaiting - provided by Braids by Em

And we’ve also managed to get a local music legend on board…

🎤 Missy Lancaster! 🎤

We’re absolutely thrilled to have Missy joining us and can’t wait to see what she brings to the event!

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes as we continue to organise more sponsors, prizes and a few surprises for the big day.

Remember, the main event is the Great Wizard Shave, where our original seven will finally lose those beards we’ve been growing for years! 🧔✂️

And once the main seven have had their moment, we’ll be opening things up for our Community Shave, giving anyone who wants to get involved the chance to raise some money and lose their beard for the cause too!

Shibumi Winter Fun Day - I took my friend Kylie’s horse Ralph out for the day. He and I had never done a jump course before. We did the 25cm just as a practice round seeing the poles. And a 45cm course competitively. We made the jump off round although rider error, I jumped over a jump in the wrong direction! We did a lovely dressage test considering Ralph had never been to an event before. So proud of Ralph throughout the event. He gave it his all 🥰 Photos By Rodney’s Photography

Volunteer at the Carrington Fair on Saturday, September 12.

Last year was our most successful year yet, and this year we’re set to exceed expectations. That success was largely due to the people who volunteered their time.

If you or a loved one enjoys cooking, we would love your help in the lead-up to the Fair. We will provide ingredients; we just need willing hands to cook them for us.

On the day of the Fair, we will need volunteers to help welcome and direct visitors, sell raffle tickets, assist at the BBQ, Rocksalt, and drive the buses transporting residents and visitors to and from the event.

A little patience, a little guidance & a lot of trust.

This exercise was teaching both Harley the Dog & Patty the Pony to trust us humans, override instincts and find confidence and calmness in each other’s company.

Patty’s learning that dogs can have high energy but that doesn’t mean they are a threat to his safety.

Harley is learning that he can be around exciting things and still maintain a calm manner.

We will be posting again with some exciting updates of their progress! ✨ 🐾 🐴
