Non-Compliance data shows a shocking discovery within the Home Care sector!

According to a study by Pride living home care and reported through the Community Care Review, a staggering 64.1% of "not-for-profit" providers were found non-compliant compared to only 25.8% of "for profit" business' in the home care sector in 2023.

Some take away points to consider here:

📊 61% of Consumers are receiving care through a "not-for-profit" provider. That means that most of our ageing Australians are receiving care from a provider who is not meeting the standards required to provide that care

📊 "not-for-profit" providers receive a disproportionate amount of grants, fundings, tax cuts and advantages in the home care sector over "for profit" providers, usually having access to money that allows them to employ compliance teams/officers/managers yet they're still getting it wrong

📊 "for profit" providers do not receive funding, grants, tax cuts, advantages and are smaller providers with the owner usually being the Manager overseeing all aspects of the business INCLUDING the compliance and they are KILLING IT at only 25.8% of non-compliances

This study speaks volumes and I urge you to forward this on. People need to be aware of the differences between "not-for-profit" and "for profit" providers so that consumers and employees are able to make educated decisions about who provides their care or who they work for.
