They can see what I am doing and know I am doing my job right. The price that I charge varies by type of service needed and if new parts have to be installed, time consumption. I always prefer to give the client a full service for their tim
epiece. Depending on the brands quality, is how many years it will be able to function to it's full potential. This of course is easy to know only big specialised watch brands will need a full service every 5 years if mechanical, and a basic check up every 2 years. Any other "brand" watches need to be checked yearly and a battery change every 2 years to avoid battery acid leakage and functioning to it's full potential. The life expectancy of a Quartz movement is 5-6 years. Some may function for many more years if they don't get damaged. The price that I charge is dependent on the category of the watch Low, Mid or High caliber and if a Basic Overhaul is needed or a Complete Overhaul and new parts. Basic Overhaul:
-Cleaning the watch case, buckle and bracelet.
-Replacing old gaskets with new gaskets.
-Grease the gaskets.
-New Battery or regulating the movement. Complete Overhaul:
-Complete dismantlement of the watch.
-Cleaning the watch case, buckle and bracelet.
-Replacing old gaskets with new gaskets.
-Grease the gaskets.
-High polish the case, buckle and every link by link.
-Demagnetising the movement if magnetic.
-Complete dismantlement of the movement.
-Cleaning of the movement.
-Reassembly of the movement.
-Oiling and greasing the movement.
-New high quality battery or Regulating the movement.
-Assemble watch completely
-Water resistance test
*If Mechanical Movement:
-Dismantle movement.
-Complete clean up.
-Assemble.
-Apply fresh oil & grease which lasts 5 years.
-Calibrate the rate, beat error and amplitude.
-Mount the dial and hands.
-Assemble watch completely.
-Replace the old gaskets.
-Water resistance test.
-24 hour check-up for any errors.
*If Quartz:
-Various electrical tests.
-New high quality battery.
-Clean up of the gears, main-plate and other metal parts.
-Apply fresh oil & grease which lasts 5 years.
-Assemble watch completely
-Water resistance test
-24 hour check-up for any errors
This is excluding the additional cost for needed parts. That can be ordered at the clients request and then we have a fully serviced watch.
* Important note. Unclaimed, unpaid and abandoned watches, that have been notified to the client for future processing and still neglected to the minimum period of 3 months the owner will be changed a storage fee of 25 florins per passing month. At the maximum time period of 12 months from the day the watch was received. Will be considered forfeited of their ownership.
