Foreigners can get Azerbaijani e-visa in 15 days after MNS reference
The Foreign Ministry’s Board has approved the administrative regulations for the receipt of requests and documents for the granting of visa to foreigners seeking to visit the Republic of Azerbaijan and stateless persons. The regulations entered into force on October 27.
Visa motions filed by foreigners and stateless persons will be considered at least 15 days after the request is received in cases defined by the Azerbaijani president, or in a maximum of two days, if foreigners’ and stateless persons’ visit is due to urgent treatment or the fatal disease or death of a close relative who lives in Azerbaijan.
The visa application received online will be sent to the Foreign Ministry’s consular department for review after being confirmed with an electronic signature enhanced by the Entrance-exit” interdepartmental automatic information searching system (AISS). The consular department checks the information and compares with AISS restriction lists.
Later on, the request will be sent to the Ministry of National Security. After the ministry’s reference, the conclusion is presented to the diplomatic delegation or consulate that received the request. If the granting of visa is approved, the user will be sent an email showing when and where the visa will be formalized.
