So many years have gone but my heart still breaks💔The car and the shower all have memories and evidence of the tears I still shed 😢
I know there are many absent fathers and honestly many of the mothers make it DIFFICULT for the fathers to be present and every chance they get they tell the child the worst things about their father (y’all are NOT ready for that conversation!!!).
I grew up without my father and my mother struggled to take care of my sister and I from her janitor’s salary but my mother NEVER ONCE TOLD ME ANYTHING BAD ABOUT MY FATHER. My father and I reconnected when I was an ADULT and I had NO animosity towards him.
I made some bad decisions in the past but they helped to shape me into the person I am today.
Would I have benefited from my father being in my life? Possibly.
Would I have made different choices if my father was in my life? Possibly.
My uncle Andy always told me he was proud of me and to ensure I continue to do well in school because education is really the key to success.
My advice is this, once a person is gone, that’s it. Cherish the time you have with people ‘cause you’re here today and gone BEFORE tomorrow.
