IBarbados

iBarbados is a multifaceted venture, which involves the development of mobile applications, mobile services and mobile communities that will drive growth in the Barbadian economy. Our flagship mobile product is a Mobile Destination Guide app for iPhone and iPad, scheduled to go live in the Apple app store in April 2012. Our objective is to rally barbadians behind the iBarbados initiative. WE AIM T

O:

(1) Create new "interactive" mobile industry jobs that didn't exist here before, in order to solve the serious problem of Barbadian university graduates with degrees not being able to find jobs

(2) Provide a superior level of marketing/advertising exposure for local Tourism and General businesses via the mobile channel, at a comparatively superior cost/benefit ratio

(3) Build an entrepreneurial community of mobile-focused entrepreneurs, focused specifically on the iOS mobile platform, with a professional funding infrastructure, to once and for all eliminate the huge problem of venture funding for Barbadian startups. This does not mean that the core business of the startup has to be mobile, just that it must incorporate a mobile application component.
