Good UI Design or Interaction Design is equally important as having the right requirements for designing products or services. Sometimes even though you have the right requirements, a product may fail just because the UI or interaction were not done properly. For example, it can happen because of the selection of wrong form factors or usage of wrong interaction patterns.

Ironically, this often goes unnoticed to the users or stakeholders as good designs are known as to be invisible. Therefore, the due credits should go to the UI designers or interaction designers.

Minimalism is not merely a visual style, its a successful design philosophy and scientifically proven design guideline for today's world full of distractions, unnecessary information and kitsch marketing.

Therefore, the less but effective and well thought out information you have on the screen, the less efforts it takes to perceive and interact with it.

Designing information architecture has similarity with composing music. In music, a certain piece of tune appears and disappears at one timeline in a given musical space. Similarly, in information architecture, a piece of information appears and disappears (for interaction) at one interacting space.

Even though the White text on Black background passes the highest WCAG contrast ratio test (WCAG Level AAA), Designers should not use that combination because of the pressure it puts on the reader's eyes, specially in a website where you expect the visitors to read a lot!

Suggestion: Using lighter shades of Black can improve the experience.
