যাদের জন্য কিছু করেছি, তাদের থেকে কোন কিছুই চাইনি কোনদিন।
কিন্তু যাদের জন্য কিছুই করিনি তারাই আমাকে দিয়েছে অনেক।
দেশে ভাইটাকে হারিয়ে অনেক বেশী এলোমেলো হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম।
লন্ডনে এসে এত ভালবাসা পেয়েছি এবার, শরীর-মন দুটোই অনেক ভাল। আলহামদুলিল্লাহ।।

অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পড়াশোনা করা অনেকেই PR-এর স্বপ্ন দেখে। কিন্তু বিষয়টা অনেক সময় বেশ কনফিউজিং হয়ে যায়।

অনেকে ভাবে, শুধু 65 বা 75 পয়েন্ট পেলেই PR নিশ্চিত। কিন্তু বাস্তবতা হলো – এখন আর এতটুকু যথেষ্ট নয়।

PR পাওয়া অনেকটা musical chair গেমের মতো – চেয়ার কম, খেলোয়াড় বেশি। কেউ দ্রুত invitation পায়, আবার কেউ মাসের পর মাস অপেক্ষা করে।

এটা হতাশাজনক হতে পারে, তবে চিন্তা করবেন না। আমি এখানে ব্যাখ্যা করছি আসলে কী হচ্ছে এবং কীভাবে আপনি নিজের চান্স বাড়াতে পারেন।

কোন পেশায় বেশি সুযোগ?

অস্ট্রেলিয়া সেই সব পেশায় অগ্রাধিকার দিচ্ছে যেগুলোর সবচেয়ে বেশি চাহিদা আছে:

• হেলথকেয়ার (Nurse, Doctor, Allied Health): সর্বোচ্চ প্রাধান্য। কম পয়েন্ট হলেও invitation পাওয়া যায়।
• ট্রেডস (Carpentry, Plumbing, Automotive, Civil Drafting, Electrical): ভালো চান্স আছে, অনেক সময় মাত্র 65 পয়েন্টেই সম্ভব।
• টেক ও অ্যাকাউন্টিং: সবচেয়ে কঠিন। প্রচুর আবেদনকারী থাকায় বেশি পয়েন্ট থাকলেও অনেক সময় invitation মেলে না।

শিক্ষা: যেসব পেশায় বেশি চাহিদা, সেদিকে ফোকাস করুন। এতে PR পাওয়া সহজ হবে।

অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় থাকলে সুবিধা

যারা ইতিমধ্যেই অস্ট্রেলিয়ায় পড়াশোনা বা কাজ করছেন, তাদের অগ্রাধিকার বেশি।
কারণ সরকার চায় এমন প্রার্থী, যারা সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই কাজ শুরু করতে পারবে।
বিদেশ থেকেও আবেদন করা যায়, তবে সিডনিতে থাকা কেউ কম পয়েন্ট নিয়েও আগে invitation পেতে পারে।

শুধু Perth বা Adelaide নয়

অনেকে ভাবে শুধু Perth বা Adelaide গেলে সহজ হবে। আসলে এখন Regional areas বা State Nomination বেশি সুযোগ দিচ্ছে, যেমন:
• Queensland (Regional)
• South Australia (Regional – Adelaide বাদে)
• Victoria (Regional)
• NSW (Regional)
• Northern Territory
• Tasmania

হয়তো Regional শহর আপনার স্বপ্নের সিটি নয়, কিন্তু PR পাওয়ার চান্স অনেক বেশি। তাই ফ্লেক্সিবল হয়ে এই সুযোগগুলো কাজে লাগান
