WhatsApp-এ "LC approved" লেখা একটা কাগজ এসেছে? কাগজটা দেখতে যত আসলই লাগুক, নিজে মিলিয়ে না দেখা পর্যন্ত ওটা কিছুই প্রমাণ করে না।
একটা নমুনা দেখাই। এটা বানানো নমুনা, কারো আসল message না, কিন্তু ধরনটা চিনে রাখা দরকার।
"আপনার LC approved হয়েছে। আজকের মধ্যে USCIS officer-এর সাথে WhatsApp-এ interview দিন, না হলে file বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে।"
এই দুই লাইনে তিনটা গোলমাল আছে: officer এসেছে WhatsApp-এ, কাগজে নিজে খুঁজে দেখার মতো কোনো number নেই, আর "আজকের মধ্যে" বলে তাড়া দেওয়া হচ্ছে। USCIS নিজের website-এ পরিষ্কার লিখেছে, তারা যোগাযোগ করে শুধু official সরকারি channel দিয়ে, আপনার personal social media দিয়ে না। আসল appointment আসে চিঠিতে, নয়তো আপনার নিজের myUSCIS account-এ।
অনেকে ভাবেন, email-এ uscis.gov ঠিকানা থাকলেই তো আসল। বিষয়টা তা না। USCIS নিজেই সাবধান করেছে, এমন ঠিকানা দেখিয়েও ভুয়া email আসতে পারে।
তো কাগজ হাতে এলে তিনটা কাজ করবেন।
✅ প্রথমত, কে পাঠালো দেখুন। WhatsApp, Facebook বা personal email-এ "USCIS officer" দেখলেই থামুন।
✅ দ্বিতীয়ত, I-140 বা অন্য কোনো USCIS কাগজ হলে receipt number চেয়ে নিন। এতে থাকে তিনটা অক্ষর আর ১০টা সংখ্যা, শুরুর অক্ষর তিনটা হয় IOE বা EAC-এর মতো। USCIS-এর Case Status Online-এ নিজে বসিয়ে দেখুন।
✅ তৃতীয়ত, LC, মানে PERM labor certification হলে পুরো case number (dash সহ) DOL-এর FLAG website-এর Case Status Search-এ দিন। Employer-এর নামও DOL-এর প্রকাশ করা PERM data-তে খুঁজে দেখা যায়।
সত্যি বলতে, এই check-গুলো শুধু দেখায় case-টা আসলেই আছে কিনা। Approval বা সময়ের কোনো নিশ্চয়তা এগুলো দেয় না, আর সেটা কেউ দিতে পারেও না।
কমেন্টে একজন জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলেন, "অরিজিনাল পেজ কোনটি?" Edu Abroad আপনার সাথে যোগাযোগ করে আমাদের official page-এর inbox আর নিচের নম্বর থেকে। অন্য কোথাও থেকে আমাদের নামে message এলে আগে এখানে জিজ্ঞেস করে নেবেন।
কুরআনে বলা আছে, কোনো ফাসেক লোক খবর নিয়ে এলে আগে যাচাই করে নিতে, যাতে না জেনে কোনো মানুষের ক্ষতি করে পরে আফসোস করতে না হয় (সূরা আল-হুজুরাত, ৪৯:৬)।
আসল পথটা ধীর। কিন্তু সেই পথের প্রতিটা step আপনি নিজে মিলিয়ে দেখতে পারবেন, ভুয়া পথের একটা step-ও পারবেন না।
কোনো কাগজ আসল কিনা জানতে page-এর inbox-এ CHECK লিখে message পাঠাতে পারেন অথবা কমেন্টে আপনার মন্তব্য শেয়ার করতে পারেন।
চূড়ান্ত filing-এর আগে অবশ্যই একজন licensed US immigration attorney-র সাথে কথা বলে নেবেন। উনি কোন state থেকে license নিয়েছেন, সেই state-এর licensing agency থেকে license-টাও যাচাই করে নেওয়া যায়।

Got a paper on WhatsApp that says "LC approved"? However real it looks, it proves nothing until you've checked it yourself.
Here's a sample. It's made up, not anyone's real message, but you'll want to recognise the pattern the next time something like it lands on your phone.
"Your LC is approved. Do your WhatsApp interview with the USCIS officer today, or your file will be closed."
Those two lines have three problems. The officer turns up on WhatsApp, there's no number you can look up yourself, and "today" is there to rush you. USCIS says on its own website that it contacts people only through official government channels, never through your personal social media. Real appointments come by mail or through your own myUSCIS account.
Many people think an email from a uscis.gov address must be genuine. That's not how it works. USCIS itself warns that a scam email can show an address like that.
So when a paper lands in your hands, do three things.
✅ First, look at who sent it. If a "USCIS officer" turns up on WhatsApp, Facebook or a personal email, stop.
✅ Second, for an I-140 or any other USCIS paper, ask for the receipt number. It has three letters and 10 numbers, and the letters look like IOE or EAC. Enter it in USCIS Case Status Online yourself.
✅ Third, if it's LC, meaning PERM labor certification, put the full case number, dashes included, into the Case Status Search on the Department of Labor's FLAG website. You can also look for the employer's name in the PERM data DOL publishes.
One thing to be clear about. These checks show whether a case exists, nothing more; they don't promise an approval or a timeline, and nobody honestly can.
