Mijanur Rahaman Mijan is a Bangladeshi Sustainable Fashion Designer and the Founder of ABIR.

He became the SDC Bangladesh Winner 2024 at the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) International Design Competition and represented Bangladesh on the global stage as an SDC Global Finalist 2024. His achievements are recognized through SDC certification, reflecting his commitment to sustainable fashion, natural dye innovation, and responsible textile design.

Through ABIR, Mijan continues to promote eco-friendly fashion using natural dyes, traditional craftsmanship, and innovative sustainable textile practices.

Afsana Ferdousi, the Bangladesh Country Coordinator for the SDC International Design Competition, received the certificate on behalf of our Bangladesh 2024 Regional Competition winner, Mijanur Rahman Mijan, in York, England. Congratulations, Mijan, and wishing you all the best!

Mijanur Rahaman Mijan (ABIR) is a Bangladeshi Fashion Designer, Founder of ABIR, and a sustainability advocate specializing in natural dye innovation and eco-friendly fashion. His design philosophy combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion through plant-based colouration and responsible textile practices.

Mijan is recognized for his research and application of Almond (Terminalia catappa) natural dye, creating sustainable colour solutions for textiles while promoting environmentally responsible fashion. His work focuses on natural dyes, circular design, handcrafted textiles, and sustainable fashion innovation.

He is the Bangladesh Winner of the SDC International Design Competition and has been recognized by SDC Bangladesh and the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC), UK, for his contribution to sustainable textile design and colour innovation. His work represents Bangladesh on international platforms dedicated to sustainable fashion and textile coloration.
