Job Title: Manager - Finance & Accounts
Five companies. One finance function. Direct line to the founder.
The Context Most finance careers are spent inside one industry. You learn its rhythms, its compliance traps, and its seasonality - and then you keep doing it for the next thirty years.
This role is built differently.
We are setting up one finance function across five companies that should not, on paper, belong together:
A music media platform that has shaped Bangladesh’s sound for two decades.
A music production house.
A consulting firm working with the country’s most respected names.
An AI-driven creative studio.
A sustainable handicraft export house with 900+ women artisans and buyers in 21+ countries.
Five worlds. Five revenue logics. Five audit risks. We need one person to hold them all together.
What you will own you will report directly to the founder. You won't just maintain a system; you will design it. You will be responsible for the chart of accounts, the transactions, the monthly management view, and every regulatory layer beneath it.
Accounting & Reporting: Build a unified system with clean P&L separation for each company and a consolidated view for the group. This includes monthly vouching, transaction analysis, and managing General, Subsidiary, and Cash Ledgers.
Compliance: Handle Mushak 2.1 VAT registrations and ETINs. You’ll manage monthly Tax and VAT schedules, annual income tax computations, and quarterly returns under the Income Tax Act 2023.
Exports: You should be familiar with export documentation and foreign currency receipts (EPB matters), or at least be a very fast learner.
Secretarial: Handle RJSC matters yourself, from name clearance to full incorporation. You should also be comfortable navigating City Corporation matters like Trade Licenses.
The person we are looking for You have five years or more of experience, ideally across more than one industry. Whether you are CA-CC, ACMA Inter, or fully qualified (ACMA / ACA), the technical bar is just the floor.
We want someone who treats finance as a craft. You should be the kind of person who feels a small thrill when a reconciliation is perfectly clean or when you spot a missing taka before the system does. You must be able to keep confidences as a matter of professional dignity, not just, because it's "company policy."
If you are quietly restless, just maintaining what someone else set up, this is for you. You are here to build.
Why this is different, you will sit across entertainment, consulting, tech, and export - a vantage point most finance professionals in Bangladesh never get. There are no layers between your reading of the numbers and the decisions that follow.
