"Today, we celebrate the red and green that defines who we are. 🇧🇩❤️"
On December 16, 1971, a nation was born from the dreams, sacrifices, and courage of millions. It was the day Bangladesh emerged victorious after 9 months of blood, tears, and unshakable resilience. A day etched in history, where the soil of our land was watered by the sacrifices of the freedom fighters (Muktijoddhas), mothers, fathers, and the youth who believed in one thing — freedom.
When the flag of Bangladesh rose high in the sky for the first time, it was not just a flag; it was the reflection of a journey paved by unimaginable sacrifices. It carried the blood of martyrs, the hopes of future generations, and the pride of every Bengali heart. That green symbolizes our lush land, the endless potential of our people, and the peace we yearned for. The red circle? It’s the eternal flame of sacrifice and the setting sun of victory.
On this day, let us not forget those who gave everything so that we could breathe in a free land, speak our language, and dream without fear.
To the brave sons and daughters who fought on the battlefield and to the mothers who sent their children to the warfront, we owe you our every freedom. From villages to cities, from the rivers to the fields, Bangladesh's spirit was unbreakable. Joy Bangla wasn’t just a slogan; it was a roar of defiance that echoed in every corner of the nation.
As we walk today under the open sky of Bangladesh, let us remember:
The 2 million lives lost during the Liberation War.
The countless women whose sacrifices remain unmatched.
The freedom fighters who stood tall with nothing but bravery and a vision for a better tomorrow.
Bangladesh is not just a country; it’s a story of sacrifice, unity, and love. It’s a promise that we will always cherish the freedom gifted to us by the bravest souls.
On this Victory Day, let’s celebrate our culture, language, and identity. Let’s honor our past by building a future worthy of their sacrifices. 🇧🇩
To the generations before us — thank you for gifting us this day.
To the generations to come — may you carry forward this legacy of courage, pride, and resilience.
Raise the flag high. Sing our National Anthem louder. Be proud to say,
"I am Bangladeshi, and this land is my heart and soul."
"Salute to our martyrs. Salute to our heroes. Joy Bangla! Joy Bangabandhu!"
❤️ Let’s make their sacrifices count. ❤️
