Today is a proud day for CarboBon as we officially signed a partnership agreement with the Sustainable Agriculture Foundation (SAF) to begin our biochar development project. A meaningful first step in what we know will be a long journey.
This collaboration focuses on producing agriwaste-mediated biochar over the next three years to reduce environmental pollution and promote carbon financing, contributing to resilient and sustainable agricultural growth.
The Sustainable Agriculture Foundation continues to do incredible work supporting smallholder farmers, building agri-enterprises, empowering youth and creating real opportunities for women in agriculture. Through this partnership, CarboBon can contribute to a broader movement focused on resilience and sustainable growth.
The agreement was signed on behalf of SAF by Executive Director Farhad Zamil, along with Aminul Moven (Director, Climate Change & Risk Mitigation), Krishno Sen (Director, Finance & Administration), and Abdur Rouf (Director, Program Development). From CarboBon, the MoU was signed by Dr. Asef M. Redwan, PhD (Chief Science Officer), with Prottay Hasan (Chief Strategy Officer), Syed Shadman Wahid (Manager), Wasema Rahman Sreya (Research Associate), and Naziur Rahman Khan (Data Analyst & Product Development Associate) in attendance. Special thanks to our CEO Navid Haider for steering this partnership.
Together, CarboBon and SAF look forward to creating lasting impact through biochar solutions that support climate-smart farming, reduce carbon footprints, and advance sustainable development across Bangladesh.
