We had an incredible experience at the Sustainable Finance Summit 2026 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

We proudly joined the Startup Showcase and presented CarboBon's vision for a greener and more sustainable future alongside inspiring startups like Shikho.

We are creating one of Bangladesh's first scalable biochar production systems and are searching for a motivated field Engineer to join our team. This is a hands-on position concentrating on thermal systems, combustion, fabrication, and reactor operations.

โ— A thorough grasp of thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, or fluid mechanics.
โ— Interested in biomass energy, pyrolysis, or thermal-fluid systems.
โ— A practical problem-solving approach and a willingness to work in workshop and field
settings.
โ— Ability to operate alone and as part of a technical team.
Eligibility criteria
โ— BSc in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering.
โ— Minimum 1โ€“2 years of relevant field experience.

Our team had a really great and inspiring time visiting Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Bangladesh and exchanging ideas.

We had the opportunity to discuss some of the major challenges in Bangladesh today, including waste management, sustainable agriculture, and the growing startup ecosystem. It was encouraging to talk about how innovation and collaboration can help build a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Startups like CarboBon have the potential to help solve real environmental problems while also supporting economic growth. Conversations like these remind us how important partnerships are for creating long term impact.

We're proud to represent Bangladesh on a global stage.

CarboBon has been selected for the UNDP Climate Catalysts Program 2026 supported by Microsoft and we're the only organisation from Bangladesh in this year's cohort.

This means a lot to us. It's proof that bold climate ideas from South Asia have a place in global conversations and that real solutions can come from anywhere.

We've been building CarboBon around one belief, that climate action needs to be practical and measurable. From carbon innovation to circular economy practices we're helping organizations move beyond promises and into real impact.

Being part of a growing network of Asia-Pacific changemakers is something we don't take lightly. It means new perspectives new collaborations and ideas that can actually scale.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to attend SAFECON 2026, one of the largest industrial infrastructure expos in Bangladesh, organized by Savor International Limited.

It was amazing to witness this emphasis on sustainability, with so many companies and professionals now showing genuine interest in the carbon market and sustainable solutions. There were also quite a few companies working on green energy and climate-focused technologies, which made the whole experience a wonderful opportunity to showcase our interest and expertise.

What does real climate action look like when it moves beyond theory and into fields and farms?

Meet Abdur Rouf, Director of Program Development at Sustainable Agriculture Foundation (SAF). With over 14 years of experience, His journey is marked by impact that can be measured, not just mentioned.

Over the years he has:
1. Led and shaped 70+ interventions
2. Guided 25+ projects
3. Carried out 40+ research initiatives backed by global donors and investors.

He has secured DCED audit compliance and earned recognition as an AVPN Gender Lens Investment Fellow. He has also played a key role in advancing ag-based carbon credit initiatives in Bangladesh and in forming the Smallholder Action Coalition for Climate Adaptation (SACCA).
