✈️ AIR INDIA FLIGHT 171 – LATEST INVESTIGATION UPDATE (June 2026)
One year after the tragic crash of Air India Flight 171, investigators have not yet released a final report. India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) confirms that the investigation is now in its final analysis stage, with additional engine examinations still underway. (The Economic Times)
The preliminary investigation found that both Boeing 787 engine fuel control switches moved from RUN to CUTOFF seconds after takeoff, resulting in a loss of thrust from both engines. However, the cause of this switch movement remains undetermined.
