The Door That Remained
Medium: Pen Sketch

There was once a house at the end of a narrow, forgotten street. Its walls slowly faded, the bricks became worn, and the wooden door carried the marks of many passing years.
One day, the house became empty. The people left, but the door remained closed.
No one knew what was left behind it. Perhaps there were old memories, unfinished conversations, or traces of the lives that once filled the house. A small lock stood quietly in the middle of the door, holding all those untold stories inside.
Years passed. Dust gathered around the entrance, ordinary objects were left behind, and nature slowly began to take over the place. Yet the door remained the same—silent and patient.
For me, this door is not only an entrance to an old house. It is a reminder that some stories do not disappear when people leave. They remain in the walls, in the worn wood, and in the silence of a locked door.

Sometimes, the quietest places hold the stories we never get to hear.
