বারান্দায় কাপড় শুকোতে দেয়া আমাদের মা-বোনদের নিত্যদিনের অভ্যাস। বিশেষত শহুরে ফ্ল্যাটে বারান্দা ছাড়া উপায়ও নেই যেন। তবে এ ক্ষেত্রে অনেকেই মস্তবড় ভুলটি করে বসেন। শহরের ঘিঞ্জি এলাকায় তারা বারান্দায় কাপড় শুকোতে দিয়ে রাখেন, এমনকি পরিধেয় বিশেষ পোশাকটিও তারা বারান্দায় উন্মুক্তভাবে রোদে দেন। এতে কিছু সমস্যা হতে পারে।
যেমন আশেপাশের ফ্ল্যাট থেকে এসব কাপড়ের দিকে লোলুপ দৃষ্টি দেয়া হয়। এরপর এটা সীমা ছাড়িয়ে ইভটিজিংয়ে পরিণত হয়। ইভটিজিং না হলেও দুশ্চরিত্র ব্যক্তিরা এসব কাপড় দেখেই অনেক মাপজোখ করে ফেলে। এরপর থেকে অসৎ উদ্দেশ্যে বারবার উঁকিঝুঁকি মারতে থাকে।
এ জন্য উত্তম হলো, বারান্দায় বড় কাপড় দিয়ে পর্দা লাগিয়ে দেয়া। কমপক্ষে গাঢ় কালারের নেট-জাতীয় পর্দা হলেও লাগিয়ে নেয়া যেতে পারে। এরপর বারান্দায় কাপড় শুকানো। অথবা বারান্দায় দুই স্তর করে রশি লাগানো। সামনের দিকে পুরুষদের কাপড় দিয়ে ভেতরের দিকে মহিলাদের কাপড় শুকাতে দেয়া। এতে করে বাইরে থেকে শুধু পুরুষদের কাপড়গুলোই দেখা যাবে।
কাপড় শুকানোর পর রশিতে তা ফেলে না রাখা। অনেকেই একদিন গোসল করে কাপড় শুকাতে দেয়ার পর পরদিন গোসলের সময় রশি থেকে কাপড় আনতে যান। আবার কেউ কেউ ছাদেও সারারাত ধরে কাপড় ফেলে রাখেন। এতেও বদজিনের আছর পড়ার সমূহ আশঙ্কা থাকে।
এ ক্ষেত্রে আরও একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হলো, কাপড় পরার সময় সব সময় বিসমিল্লাহ বলে পরা। পোশাক-আশাক খোলা ও পরিধানের সময় দুআ পড়া। এবং নিরাপত্তার দুআসমূহের ওপর আমল করা।
