Both roles work together on end-to-end quality.

**Key Responsibilities** 📋
• Create and maintain test plans, cases, and regression suites.
• Frontend QA: check UI/UX across browsers & devices; automate flows (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright); confirm WCAG accessibility.
• Backend QA: validate REST/GraphQL endpoints; run SQL checks; verify third-party integrations.
• End-to-end testing that covers UI → API → DB → LLM/RAG pipeline.
• Add automated tests to our CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Run load and performance tests (Locust, JMeter).
• Log, prioritize, and re-test bugs; share findings with engineers and PMs.
• Sign off on releases after smoke and regression tests.
• Promote quality best practices within the team.

If you're a cheapskate like me and have some experience with Linux and the web, you can choose not to spend money on SaaS like Calendly.

Steps:

1. Buy a cheap domain and rent a VPS from any provider.

2. Install Coolify on the VPS and point your domain name to it.

3. You get a ton of open-source alternatives to popular SaaS, all as pre-built templates, so it's a 2-3 click thing.

Some examples:

1. WordPress
2. Calendly → Calcom
3. Zapier → Activepieces/n8n
4. Medium → Ghost
5. Slack → Mattermost
6. LastPass → Vaultwarden
7. DocuSign → Docuseal

…and the list is bigger for devs, and you can host anything that you can Dockerize 🤷🏻‍♂️
