We are thrilled to share an exciting achievement in our entrepreneurial journey.

On 30 January 2026, Team 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐏𝐞𝐩 had the incredible opportunity to represent our startup idea at the 𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓. Competing alongside 155 talented teams, we successfully advanced through both the abstract selection round and the semifinal round, ultimately securing our place among the Top 7 finalist teams.

We are honored to announce that we achieved the position of 🥈 1st Runner-Up.

At the competition, we presented 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐏𝐞𝐩- our sustainability-driven startup that transforms underutilized agricultural by-products: rice straw, banana pseudo-stems and sugarcane bagasse, into eco-friendly packaging paper for Bangladesh's Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry.

Through 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐏𝐞𝐩, we envision a future where agricultural waste becomes a valuable resource, helping reduce environmental pollution, minimize dependence on imported paper, and promote sustainable manufacturing within one of Bangladesh's largest industries. Our mission is to contribute to a greener circular economy by creating packaging solutions that are both environmentally responsible and economically viable.

This achievement would not have been possible without the encouragement of our mentors, judges, organizers, and everyone who believed in our vision. We are deeply grateful for your support and constructive feedback, which continues to inspire us to refine our solution and pursue even greater impact.

This recognition is not the destination, it's another step forward in our journey to build innovative, sustainable solutions for Bangladesh and beyond.

We were delighted to introduce BIOPEP and share our 1.5-year journey of transforming agricultural waste into sustainable packaging solutions. During the meeting, we discussed our key achievements, our recent journey in the Needle Innovation Challenge, the progress of our technology, and our roadmap for the future.

We were truly inspired by the Honorable Vice Chancellor's valuable insights, encouragement, and best wishes. His support for innovation, research-driven entrepreneurship, and sustainable development has motivated us to continue working towards our vision with even greater determination.

We also expressed our sincere gratitude to 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐝. 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐳 𝐔𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐧 sir, whose guidance will help us in developing our product and shaping our journey.

Finally, we would like to sincerely thank again our Vice Chancellor, Sir, for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with us.

Field Visit | Exploring Bangladesh’s Packaging Industry 📦

As part of our academic field study, we had the opportunity to visit 𝐁𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐂, 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, and 𝐌𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐱 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 to gain firsthand insights into Bangladesh’s packaging industry.

Our journey began at 𝐁𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐂, where we were fortunate to meet industry experts who shared valuable perspectives on the country’s packaging ecosystem, manufacturing clusters, funding opportunities, and the importance of industry-academia collaboration.

At 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐤𝐨𝐥𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭, we explored the binding and packaging operations, learned about material sourcing, quality considerations, production planning, and observed how packaging products are prepared to meet commercial demand.

The highlight of our visit was 𝐌𝐚 𝐁𝐨𝐱 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞, where we witnessed the complete carton manufacturing process. From raw material sourcing and machine operations to production costs and product quality, the visit provided a practical understanding of how corrugated packaging is manufactured at an industrial scale. Seeing the technology and processes behind 3-ply, 5-ply, and 7-ply carton production was a truly enriching experience.

This field visit reinforced an important lesson: there is no substitute for learning directly from industry. Observing real-world operations and engaging with professionals bridged the gap between classroom concepts and practical application.

A sincere thank you to everyone at BSCIC, Fulkoli, and Ma Box House for their time, guidance, and hospitality. Experiences like these inspire us to think beyond textbooks and better understand the industries that drive our economy.

During a random brainstorming session, an idea came up.
The reaction?
Laughter.
Doubts.
Dismissals.
But hard work never disappoints.

Finally 2 month’s of hard work paid off ! Today, 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐏𝐞𝐩 made it happen. Not just for ourselves, but for every bold idea that deserves a chance.

Thrilled to share that my team, Team_BIOPEP, secured funding for our startup idea BIOPEP at 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 - 𝐔𝐈𝐇𝐏 (Cohort 5, SUST).

We are truly grateful to our mentor 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐦 𝐀𝐥 𝐀𝐳𝐢𝐳 𝐋𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧 Sir for his invaluable insights throughout the cohort and for supporting us in every possible way.

Team BioPep is also deeply thankful to our visionary advisor 𝐌𝐝. 𝐀𝐛𝐮𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦 Sir, Founder of Solo Fashion, for his continuous support and guidance. His belief in us helped shape 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐏𝐞𝐩 and connect it with the industry.

Excited to share that our startup 𝗕𝗜𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗣 has secured a place in the 1𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 of the Needle Innovation Challenge 3.0, a leading RMG-focused startup acceleration program under the 𝗢𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗶𝘁𝗮 Initiative by Build Bangladesh.

Following a rigorous screening process during the ideation round, BIOPEP was selected among only 13 startups from over 90 competing teams to participate in this intensive 5-day residential bootcamp.

At BIOPEP, we are transforming agricultural crop residues into biodegradable paper and sustainable packaging solutions, reducing dependence on imported raw materials while supporting Bangladesh's export-oriented manufacturing sector.

This opportunity will allow us to refine our business model, validate our impact, and accelerate our journey toward building a more sustainable and circular manufacturing ecosystem.

Grateful to the organizers, mentors, and everyone who has supported our vision so far. Looking forward to learning, growing, and taking BIOPEP to the next level.
