On 28 November 2026, I'll be leading the PADI EMEA Advanced Training Academy in Willebroek, Belgium, as a PADI Course Director.

I'm looking forward to a full day of interactive, practical workshops designed to help fellow PADI Instructors strengthen their skills, build confidence and continue growing as dive professionals.

Fantastic to see so many of the newly graduated EMEA Course Directors at the Roundtable last night. Was great to connect with you all and looking forward to seeing you in the field at IEs, Dive Shows and at more online and in person Roundtables!

Starting the day with a pretty decent office view! Today we’re out early for PADI Assistant Instructor Open Water Teaching Presentations.

From classroom preparation to confined water and now open water — this is where future instructors bring everything together in a real diving environment.

Another step closer to the next level. 💪

Vandaag op het programma: theoriepresentaties. 🤿📚

Een goede duikinstructeur kent zijn theorie, maar het echte verschil zit in hoe je die kennis duidelijk, relevant en begrijpelijk overbrengt aan je cursisten.

Tijdens deze presentaties werken we niet alleen aan de inhoud, maar ook aan structuur, lesdoelstellingen, praktijkgerichte voorbeelden en vooral: hoe je van theorie iets maakt waar een duiker écht iets aan heeft.

Mooi om kandidaten stap voor stap te zien groeien van ervaren duiker naar iemand die straks zelf anderen mag opleiden en inspireren.

Dit weekend staat bij Dive Pro Group volledig in het teken van professionele groei. 🤿

We starten met de PADI Assistant Instructor-opleiding: een traject vol training, workshops, praktijkmomenten, feedback en voorbereiding op de volgende stap richting instructeursniveau.

After the orientation session, it’s D-Day for our PADI Divemaster candidates.

Today marks the real start of their Divemaster course — a journey from diver to dive leader, with a strong focus on skills, knowledge, responsibility, teamwork and professional attitude.

Becoming a Divemaster is not only about becoming a better diver. It is about learning to support others, assist during training, think ahead and grow into a trusted role model within the dive community.

Wishing our candidates lots of success on this exciting journey.

No limits. Just experiences. 🌊

As an experienced diving professional, I believe that good guidance starts with the individual, not with one fixed way of teaching. Every diver is different. Sometimes that requires adaptive techniques, creative thinking and strong teamwork.

I now offer the PADI Adaptive Techniques Specialty Diver and PADI Adaptive Techniques Support Diver courses. You can join these courses at Dive Pro Group, or I can deliver them at your dive centre.

Today I’m diving with, among others, with Leyka — our oldest daughter. 🤿💙

Passing on experience, sharing the passion for diving, and slowly preparing the next generation. It is still early days, but we are working seriously on the succession.
