🧩On Monday evening we had the pleasure of bringing together a small group of professionals in Belgium for a focused online session on a question that feels increasingly urgent: how do we think with AI without outsourcing our thinking to it?
With 9 engaged participants, Svetoslava Stoyanova PCC, ICF explored how to use AI not just for efficiency, but to reduce cognitive overload while preserving what matters most: our judgment, creativity, and sense-making.

A key idea that emerged was what we called the “sandwich approach”:

Human thinking → AI prompting → Human reflection

Using AI as a layer in our process & grounding outputs in our own reasoning and verifying sources remained central to the discussion. Thoughtful, reflective, and grounded in real professional challenges - this is the kind of space we aim to create with the "AI in L&D" series. Looking forward to continuing these conversations and growing this vibrant community around the philosophy and practice of AI.

Brainstorming session and planning on the closing conference in the AI Mentoring project at the end of September in Sofia!
Centered on the outcomes and future goals of the "AI in Mentoring" project, the conference will bring together experts, trainers, and mentors from Bulgaria, Belgium, and Spain to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and professional development. Through dedicated panel discussions, international practitioners will share their firsthand feedback and experiences with AI tools, capped off by an exploration of recent AI developments!

This closing module brings everything together and invites teachers to take concrete, practical steps to get their classroom ready for AI – from setting norms with students to choosing first experiments and reflecting on impact. It’s a short, action‑oriented guide to move from “interesting idea” to “let’s actually try this with my learners next term”.

So proud of our AI Navigators at European School II Brussels (EEB2)!
They organized the 3rd local workshop in Belgium, and second in their school last week. Teachers and partners came together online to share best practices from their AI advancement in the AI Navigators: Empowering Teachers for the AI Era, discussing the challenges they’ve encountered along the way, and reflect on the ethical implications of using AI in education.
We officially are close to a wrap up of the AI Navigators' journey in Belgium, with everyone expressing gratitude for the experience and for the chance to learn from one another.

Huge thank you to all participants for their openness and engagement!

It invites schools to move from isolated experimentation to collaborative learning, where teachers feel safe to try, reflect and grow together.

At New Mindset Coaching & Training (NMCT), we believe real change happens when educators learn with and from each other, not just from tools, and we design our programmes to nurture exactly this kind of professional learning community.
