vmsTrack PRO by WEATHERDOCK proves RM Technolgy’s simplicity and excellence.

Actions (and in this case test results) speak louder than words!

A team from Weatherdock conducted a test run of the vmsTrack PRO in Bahrain this week. The equipment was installed on a vessel which had to cruise out of the normal AIS range and then come back into the range.
When the vessel was back in the range the RM technology read out the recorded waypoints of the vessels trip when these were out of the range.
The test had two goals:
1) To see how far the regular antennas will receive the signal.
2) To check the recorded waypoints in comparison with the normal antennas.
The signals were lost at 18 nm, more than expected.
With the regular antennas the vessel was tracked further than the expected 29 nm (in fact it reached up to 43.5 m) The vessel was forced to turn back around at this point as it had reached international waters. The vmsTrack Pro was still receiving.

This test has proven the vmsTrack Pro’s reliability and promised performance.
