The Rigter Tshongrig Club, in collaboration with the Y-Peer Club of Norbuling Rigter College, organized an event titled “QueerPreneurs: Breaking Barriers through Entrepreneurship.”
The session featured Bishal Mongar, popularly known as Allay — a dancer turned model, barista turned marketing officer, entrepreneur, and now an aspiring actor and model — as the guest speaker.
Allay shared their inspiring and extraordinary journey, a story defined by resilience, authenticity, and unyielding courage. They spoke about how their entrepreneurial path began with a deep passion for creativity and self-expression. From their early experiences as a dancer and model, Allay gained valuable skills in confidence, communication, and networking — all of which later helped shape their business ventures.
While working as a barista, Allay developed a keen interest in branding, customer service, and marketing. This exposure sparked their entrepreneurial spirit, motivating them to explore opportunities in event promotion, fashion, and creative content development. Through determination and authenticity, Allay built a personal brand that celebrates individuality and inclusivity, inspiring many to embrace their true selves while pursuing their dreams.
The challenges and barriers they have overcome are not only motivational but also deeply transformative for everyone who attended. Their story serves as a reminder that courage, passion, and perseverance can turn any path into a successful and meaningful journey.
Let us all be inspired to break barriers in our own ways and strive to become positive, empowering figures for others.
