Bhutan Livestock Development Corporation Limited (BLDCL) is a State-Owned Enterprise
(SOE) and works closely with the Department of Livestock (DOL) to develop the livestock sector. BLDCL is basically a commercial arm of the Government mandated to increase internal production of livestock inputs and products to help achieve food and nutrition
security of the country, reduce imports, and most importantly, retain outflow of foreign
reserves.

Bhutan Livestock Development Corporation Limited (BLDCL) successfully conducted the Tendrel Ceremony to formally welcome and receive its newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Shankar Chhetri, on 14th July 2026 at the BLDCL Corporate Headquarters, Thimphu.

The auspicious ceremony commenced with traditional prayers and ceremonial offerings, followed by the official joining formalities, the offering of Tashi Khadar, and cultural performances to mark the beginning of Mr. Shankar Chhetri tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of BLDCL.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, members of the Board of Directors, the management and staff of BLDCL, government officials, and the family members of Mr. Shankar Chhetri, making the occasion both meaningful and memorable.
