We are looking for Architects to join our team in Thimphu, Bhutan.

Position: Architect
Salary: Nu. 45,000–50,000/month
Depending on experience and capability

What we’re looking for:
• Strong architectural design and planning skills
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
• Ability to prepare detailed architectural and construction drawings
• Good understanding of detailing and consultant coordination
• Experience with 3D modelling, rendering and presentations
• Strong design sense and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

At Saidpiece Architects, you will work across architecture, interiors, landscape, BIM, master planning and multidisciplinary design projects in Bhutan.

Before concrete became the default, stone shaped much of eastern Bhutan’s built heritage.

Locally sourced granite was carefully cut and laid by craftsmen into walls that have endured for generations, offering strength, durability, and natural thermal comfort.

These buildings remind us that architecture is at its best when it responds to its landscape. Long before sustainability became a design principle, Bhutanese builders were already practicing it.

Today, Saidpiece had the opportunity to serve as a guest lecturer at Atang Institute, engaging with students on the realities of the construction industry, construction management, and the growing role of BIM in design and construction.

The session focused on bridging classroom learning with real-world practice covering how projects are actually planned, coordinated, managed, and delivered in Bhutan and the region, and how digital tools like BIM are reshaping collaboration, efficiency, and accountability across the industry.

It was encouraging to see the curiosity and ambition of the next generation of professionals. We’re grateful to Atang Institute for the invitation and for creating space for industry–academia dialogue.

The planning emphasizes clear circulation, visual connections to the landscape, and a balance between enclosed and open spaces. Material choices are kept simple and honest, allowing architecture and context to remain the focus.
