We are deeply honored and grateful to be selected as one of the 12 winners of the Hindu Kush Himalaya Innovation Challenge for Entrepreneurs (HKH-ICE 2.0).

This recognition is more than an achievement for Yoering-Ma—it is a validation of our vision to build a circular economy in Bhutan by transforming organic waste into valuable resources that support farmers, communities, and environmental sustainability.

Participating in the Leadership Academy was an incredibly enriching experience. The program provided us with valuable insights into leadership, innovation, resilience, impact-driven entrepreneurship, and scaling solutions for mountain communities. Learning alongside inspiring entrepreneurs from across the Hindu Kush Himalaya region and engaging with experts, mentors, and changemakers broadened our perspectives and strengthened our commitment to creating meaningful impact.

We extend our sincere gratitude to ICIMOD, the Himalayan Resilience Enabling Action Programme (HI-REAP), UK International Development, the Global Resilience Partnership, and all partners for believing in entrepreneurs who are working to address pressing environmental and socio-economic challenges in the region.

This support will help us strengthen our efforts to reduce organic waste, produce high-quality compost, and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for Bhutan.

Congratulations to all fellow grantees. We look forward to learning, collaborating, and growing together as we work toward a more resilient Himalayan region.

Feeling truly honoured and grateful to have received the opportunity to attend BATIF 2.0 Bhutan, a remarkable platform that brought together innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and agricultural experts to discuss the future of agribusiness, sustainability, technology, and entrepreneurship in Bhutan. The forum provided valuable insights into modern agricultural practices, innovation-driven business opportunities, food security, youth engagement, and sustainable economic development. It was an inspiring experience to connect with passionate individuals and organizations working towards transforming Bhutan’s agricultural and business landscape through collaboration and innovation.

Yoering-Ma we are especially delighted and proud to share that we successfully signed an MOU with Crawfish Himalayan Ltd, marking the beginning of a promising partnership and new opportunities for future growth, innovation, and collaboration. Looking forward to building meaningful impact together and contributing towards a more sustainable and progressive future for Bhutan.

Honored and grateful to have been invited as part of the TechBiz Innovation Bootcamp 2026 founder session organized by GCBS and CST. It was a privilege for Yoering-Ma to share our entrepreneurial journey, experiences, challenges, and lessons with such passionate and aspiring young minds.

We sincerely appreciate the recognition and the opportunity to contribute to a platform that inspires innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students. Seeing young people eager to create change and pursue their ideas reminds us why initiatives like these truly matter.

Pelsup Sailesh, from Cohort 1, is part of the team behind Yoering-Ma, a project focused on transforming biodegradable waste into high-quality vermicompost through earthworm-based composting systems. The idea reflects a practical and sustainable approach to waste management, while supporting more environmentally conscious agricultural practices.

Sailesh and his team were among the two winners of the DrukDen Startup Competition, where their project stood out for its potential to create real impact. What began as an idea has quickly evolved into a working startup, navigating the early challenges of building something from the ground up.

Through the Pelsung journey, Sailesh has gained a deeper sense of responsibility and confidence as a young entrepreneur. Engaging with mentors, professionals, and fellow Pelsups has helped shape both the direction of Yoering-Ma and his own growth as a leader.

Reflecting on the experience, Sailesh shares, “This recognition is not just a milestone for Yoering-Ma, but a reminder of the responsibility we carry to keep building and contribute meaningfully to our country. The journey has only just begun.”
