Prayer for Koketso Moswanti. 🙏🏾
Seating here trying to calm my mind thinking about Koketso Moswanti's story. It's so sad how moments that takes just a few seconds can turn life in a direction totally unexpected. I know it's too early to build an opinion on this, and it is wise to let the law do what they must, but seeing a 19 year old girl whose friends, family and many who knew her describe her as a very nice girl who had goals and ambition, but now in custody facing a possibility of a looming death sentence. It's sad. Your heart stops for a second, and your mind freeze, and pain coupled with a cold breeze that pierce like a million needles cruising through your heart. The same applies for the boyfriend's family, trying to imagine what they must be going through right now having lost a child.
I don't know the story, but the few lines I read, my heart just broke. And I find it very difficult to logically accept that this story indeed happened and I'm not dreaming, but when I saw it my heart just filled with compassion, and I couldn't help but agree with my heart that no matter what the story is, we should at least pray for God's mercy for her. I've seen many posts about "if it was a boy child, socal media could be saying he should be killed", I've also seen those who sound like they know what happened saying "We interacted with her when in her cleaning jobs, she had big dreams, but she was also abused in her relationship, she probably was defending herself". I don't know anything about any of these statements, and all I'm saying is instead of fighting on social media, the least many of us could do is listen to our hearts, I don't know about yours, but mine is telling me we should pray for her.
God knows what happened. And only God knows the true contents of our hearts. In times like this when we can't understand, we have to trust God. We have to pray for the guy's family as well that (although difficult) they may find peace and comfort in the Lord.
May the guy's soul rest in peace.🙏🏾
