I just returned from Registrar of Societies office to enquire about the progress. Our first name option was approved; DYNAMIC YOUTHFUL MINDS SOCIETY.

I was given Form A (Reg. 3) which is a regulation form.In addition I received an email consisting of the constitution. So all in all we have to complete these forms & return them together with P500 fee.

So in the meantime we need ideas/ways/strategies to raise the P500 as expected of us, no matter how small the idea might sound/be, it carries a lo of change.

A RESPONSE TO YESTERDAY TO POLICE BRUTALITY
We have witnessed police brutality yesterday and one may wonder where our country is going.. last time i checked our fellow youths were not holding any weapons to deserve such huge turn up of disciplined forces, the police and the SSG. The most disheartening of all is when the police saw it fit to shambock fellow youths.. cant they see that they causing anger among the youths and other "responsible & concerning parents"..
We might have not been in that group yesterday but we are with them and wouldnt mind to join forces with them in the future.
We would like to thank all those who experienced beating at the hands of merciless Botswana Police for their peaceful demonstration. The police have a tendency to refuse to give demonstrators permission for such action.. in actual fact, demonstrators do not need permission, they need to notify the police of their action so that the police es**rt them.
Should the police continue doing what they did then our country's future is in trouble..

Good evening lovely people. We had a meeting today as agreed & it was a success. The executive team agreed that us approaching the media should be paused until we have build ground base, but instead we should focus & divert the energy toward the anticipated Sponsored Walk.
Also we are awaiting the response from Registrar of Societies upon our approval.
However, that should not stop us from coming up with ideas on to raise funds to complete the registration process & other funds that we going to need such as t-shirts we are going to wear during the sponsored walk.
For the time being we should gather as much information as possible regarding the sponsored walk.
We decided that for example at the finish point of the sponsored walk, there could be an organization(s) which will offer career guidance through their stalls.
That's what went down today. Thanks for your support & remember, Hard Work Is Our Weapon

I'm from the Registry of Society office & I was told that our application is still in process. I saw our application amongst the piled up documents. These past days only Club applications were being processed & now this week its Societies. Further more I was told that the response will be done through mail post. So no need to go there for reply. So I believe that from next week the post office should be checked on regular basis.

Good evening everyone! As planned & expected we held a meeting earlier today & we discussed issues & shared ideas.
As stated in the agenda we managed to put together all the required documents for Society registration & on Wednesday morning its submission to relevant office for processing.

We also discussed ideas to which we can raise funds for our society & here are some, but suggestions are welcomed to add on, correct or advice;
•Selling of homemade muffins at workplaces.
•Making & selling sandwiches at corporate offices in the morning.

Also what was discussed was how are going make our voices reach the youth, companies & other organization country wide. We found it relevant to approach radio stations, newspaper & even TV & ask for a slot to let Botswana know about us, who we are & what we want.

Our team also discussed & came to a conclusion on the criteria to be used to choose representatives & communicate with them effectively to keep everyone on the same level.
We also have good news, which involves elders in good places who love what we do.

Good day fellow soldiers! Hope you are well. We are proud to announce that there will be a meeting on the 18th of July (Monday) at Mogoditshane.
Venue: Constituency office opposite Post Office/Cemetry. (From Bus Rank board Mogoditshane Route 3, drop by Post Office then walk towards the crechè/pre-school, there is a black sliding gate, you'll be welcomed)
Time: 10am
Agenda: •Finalizing of all documents required for Society registration.
•Brainstorming of ideas through which we can raise funds for ourselves.
•Way forward to reach out to the nation & pass information regarding our campaign & the society.
•Reach an agreement regarding Representatives selection & structure out communication techniques in order to share information & keep up to date country wide.
