LSosa & Associates - Environmental Consulting is proud to announce that our General Manager and Environmental Specialist, Mr. Leonides Sosa, led and facilitated the Inception Workshop for the consultancy "Development of a 10-Year National Environmental Policy and Strategy 2026-2036, its Mid-Term National Environmental Action Plan 2026-2031, and Monitoring & Evaluation Framework," in collaboration with the Belize Department of the Environment - DOE. The Inception Workshop was held on September 30, 2025, at the Grand Resort in Belize City. Key stakeholders in attendance included representatives from key Government Ministries and Departments, Statutory Bodies, Academia, and the Private Sector.

This consultancy aims to update Belize's environmental governance framework to address emerging environmental challenges and guide sustainable development over the next decade. The workshop was a great success and paved the way for a collaborative and inclusive consultancy process. As the lead consultant for this new assignment, our team looks forward to continued engagement and support from all stakeholders as we work together to build a resilient and forward-looking environmental policy and strategy for Belize.
