In addition, as you journey alongside me, through my posts, I hope I provide helpful tips for yourself or a senior in your life. The photo of the hands is not some random image, but of my mom's holding mine, taken in her last years. I still remember that moment and it makes me smile each time. Purple, the colour that calms me and brings me joy, is the colour that comes to mind when I picture my mom. Forget-Me-Nots were always a favourite of mom's (and it's the name of our "family cake recipe" which I'll share with you sometime). Ironically, this is also the flower that's become synonymous with Alzheimer's, the disease that stole many of mom's best memories and the recognition of those she loved most. And lastly, those who knew my mom well, will recognize the handwriting in the ribbon as hers, which I pieced together from the pages of her own address book. This is my heart song. Because I'm Dorothy's Daughter.

Not typically the way I dress to clean a home! 😃

But getting all dolled up is a fun way to honour my sister Susie on this, the 5th year of missing her.❤️
She lived a simple life and she loved being nicely dressed including purse, jewelry, perfume, makeup, and of course, painting her nails!

My clients loved it!😍
