For the 4th year running, members of Bluewater Fire Services along with members of the Central Huron Fire Service assisted with the Huron Hospice "No Place Like Home" Farm to Fork Dinner and Auction fundraiser. The event's proceeds directly support end-of-life and palliative care services at Bender House in Clinton and community/grief programs across Huron County. We were pleased to again assist in making this such a successful event for those in need of these services.

You can only be saved by the beep if you have a working smoke alarm! Test your smoke alarms today(Sept. 28) for "Saved by the Beep" day and take the pledge to test them every month moving forward. Test smoke alarms monthly, make sure they are installed properly, and replace low batteries or expired alarms.

Plan and practice your fire escape plan. Keep exits clear. Know who will assist household members needing help escaping (i.e. children, older adults, persons with disabilities).
