Northback had a great weekend at the Calgary Fall Home Show!

Our team enjoyed connecting with Albertans, answering questions about the Grassy Mountain Project, and having meaningful conversations about steelmaking coal, reclamation, environmental management, and the economic benefits the Grassy Mountain Project could bring to Alberta.

Northback was proud to once again support the Crowsnest Pass Heritage Festival's launch event. The theme, "Echoes from the Past," was brought to life by the Heritage Youth Theatre Company through a series of vignettes inspired by the theme.

If built, the Grassy Mountain Project will provide significant economic benefits to Canada, Alberta, and the region where it would operate.

A new socioeconomic report from EY outlines the benefits this $1.4 billion investment would provide. Highlights include:

• Approximately $2.2 billion in tax revenue to governments over the project’s life.
• A $1.2 billion contribution to Canada’s GDP over the construction phase.
• $14 billion in export revenues to Canada over the life of the mine.
• $6.9 billion in operational expenditures over the life of the mine
