Excel Construction Ltd. is a smaller construction company that has been working in and around Saskatoon and area since 1996. We have operated as a general contractor for many residential projects as well as a sub-contractor for both commercial and residential jobs. Anything from excavation, forming, prepping and pouring foundations to concrete flat work, grade beams, screw piles and the complete building of residential custom builds or commercial buildings.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Full-time (40+ hrs/wk)
Home every night. Work area based in and around Saskatoon. Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour depending on experience and certification.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
* Adherence to building code and corporate safety requirements on all sites
* Basic knowledge of all aspects of concrete and or carpentry work would be an asset
* Site docs reporting daily
* Knowledge of building code and safety code requirements
* Report issues as they arise to the site foreman
* Knowledge and use of power tools such as air nailers, skill saw, etc is beneficial
* Mentorship of novice workers available
* Enrollment in Carpentry apprenticeship program after obtaining hours under mentorship is possible
* Ability to read blue prints is beneficial
* Experience in commercial/residential construction (mostly concrete /foundation work) is an asset
* Equipment operation experience is an asset (zoom boom / skid steer)
* Being organized, and having strong communication skills with the ability to build excellent relationships with subtrades and workers on site
* Candidate must have excellent time management skills, have the ability to prioritize work and be results driven
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong understanding of quality standards
* Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license
* Must be legally able to work in Saskatchewan, Canada
* Ownership of a tool belt and some tools would be an asset
* Certification in any Fall protection, Aerial Lift, Telehandler, WHMIS, First Aid/CPR courses would be an asset
* Punctual, reliable work attendance is required
* Work effectively with minimal supervision and following instructions is required at all times
* Taking initiative, being self-motivated�and physically capable of heavy manual labor is an asset
* Being comfortable working at heights would be an asset
* Maintaining a safe, well-organized, and clean work environment is a must
