I LOVE Hydraulics!! While working for the Ontario Government I was advocating for the use of hydraulic's to achieve accessibility for Judge's presiding over Ontario Courtrooms! Isn't it great seeing this Barber back at the work he knows and loves? INNOVATION can remove all types of barriers to access - share any and all ideas; you never know where a solution will show it's head.

I totally enjoyed presenting at the University of Guelph Accessibility Conference earlier today! The organizers of the conference put a great agenda together and it was nice spending a day with like-minded individuals. We need more events like this where we can share ideas and keep the AODA ball rolling. Plan to attend in 2013!

I am excited to be in Owen Sound to discuss accessibility planning with the city. It is beautiful here and I definitely need to take some tourist time!

I just received official confirmation that my presentation proposal for the University of Guelph Accessibility Conference has been accepted! I will be speaking about the AODA (what else is there to talk about lol) This is such exciting news and I want to thank all of you for supporting my transition to the private sector!

Here is an opportunity to provide input on the Law Commission of Ontario's framework for the law as it impacts persons with disabilities. The report was released yesterday and the Commission will accept feedback until May 2, 2012. Once complete, the framework will assist legislators and policy makers to consider the impacts of new/existing laws and policies on persons with disabilities. There is a lot of material so I suggest that your Accessibility Advisory Committee might like to review and comment as a group.
