In November of 2021 we lost my 88 year old mother to Covid-19. Like many others who have succumbed to this virus, she was living in a Retirement facility. The need to have Healthcare, Retirement Home and Homecare staff vaccinated is a very hot topic right now and I fully agree that being vaccinated is the best defense a care provider can offer in trying to remain healthy and protect the vulnerable people they are caring for. While the homecare sector has remained the safest across the health system, with little transmission of COVID-19 throughout the pandemic, last year Lifeguard Homecare decided to do even more to keep our vulnerable clients and our staff safe.
Effective Sep 1, 2021, COVID-19 vaccination became mandatory for all Lifeguard Homecare team members. Setting a higher standard than government requirements, we made this decision in the best interest of our clients, staff and local healthcare system to help control and end this pandemic. We are extremely proud of our staff who demonstrated their care and dedication to our clients by getting vaccinated and we thank them for their tremendous efforts, especially throughout this pandemic.
All Lifeguard Homecare staff are direct employees, we do not use third party services or contract workers. We are Licensed, Bonded, Insured and Vaccinated! We offer training and flexible hours, working within client homes in your local community!
