GRADUATION TIME. The PDFD volunteer fire department has had the privilege of having a Chaplain as part of our team for many, many, many years.

Fire chaplains provide essential emotional, mental, and spiritual support to firefighters, their families, and the communities they serve.

Recently our Chaplain, Donna Kelly, worked very hard to earn her Masters of Divinity from the Atlantic School of Theology. And on May 31, 2026, Donna officially became, Reverend Donna M. Kelly as she was ordained during the United Church regional council meeting held at Acadia University. Our department is grateful to Reverend Donna, for the tireless work she contributes to our members and our local area. We are proud of your achievements and look forward to having your presence ongoing and wish you all the best with the churches you will serve, in our area. Please join us in showing Donna our sincere gratitude.

Tonight's training session was conducted under the leadership of Lieutenant Haydan Fortin, who effectively coordinated an evening of primary and secondary searches within our smoke-filled training facility. Despite the hot and humid conditions, our team demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance. The acquisition of the 40' container represents a significant investment in our fire departments resources. We invite interested parties to reach out to us for a closer look and to witness our team's capabilities firsthand. Join us, we're not shy.
