Reminder. If your headed to Oickle's on high street, you can make an easy, but very worthwhile donation to our department, just by mentioning it to the gentleman there. Every donation helps us, help you.

🗣 PARDON THE INTERRUPTION. I bet you didn't know that you could support our hard-working firefighters by just dropping off your REFUNDABLES to OICKLE'S, on High Street. Well, it's a new, ongoing fundraising initiative, and super easy to contribute to. SPREAD / SHARE the word... When you drop off your refundables , just ask them to put it on our account... money 💰 raised will go in our truck replacement fund. 🚒

Thanksgiving weekend. What a wonderful time to do some yard work, close out the cabin, make great memories with family & friends and eat the best meals. But most of all, it's a reminder to be thankful for the wonderful things that we have living here in Canada. We may not always think it's so great, but it really is. The officers and members of our department wish you the best thanksgiving weekend possible, and remind you to be safe, not just today but every day. The last thing you really want is a few extra dozen dinner guests showing up with bright red trucks and lights flashing.

FUND RAISER ON THE HORIZON.

Next year, 2027, we will be celebrating 70 years of serving our community and beyond. As part of this special year, we will be doing a Legacy Project. This exciting project will be announced later this fall, and we will be using only funds, designated from memorial donations. No rate payer funds for operational expenses, etc. will be used. So, if you have a loved one you wish to honour and would like to contribute, reach out to our financial team: [email protected]

Also, former PDFD fire chief, Glenn Carey has kindly donated 4 framed prints of his beautiful, works of art, that we will be doing an online Facebook auction to raise funds for the Legacy 70 project. Stay tuned as we roll out this exciting auction in the near future.

Fire prevention week. It's been 155 years since Mrs O'leary's cow kicked over the lantern and started the great Chicago Fire. In 1997 Chicago city council exonerated, Mrs O'leary and her cow. But we still continue to "celebrate and educate" during fire prevention week, each and every year. If you'd like to know more about the story, and how you can become a firefighter in our district , reach out. [email protected]
