“Thank you for being a nurse.”

A patient said these words to me, and I replied, “It’s rare for people to say that.”

He smiled and said, “I truly appreciate what you guys are doing.”

Later, my colleague and I were talking about this conversation. She said something that really made me think.

“Asha, one day, we could be the patients too.”

We work in a stroke unit. Every day, we see how a stroke can change someone's life in a matter of minutes. Someone who wakes up in the morning might suddenly be unable to move their hands or legs, walk, or even return home without help.

And then I thought about myself.

One day, I might be the person lying in a hospital bed, looking at the ceiling, hoping someone would come to help me. Maybe I would need a nurse to feed me, clean me, help me move, or simply ask, “Have you eaten?”

Our families may love us deeply, but they may not always be able to stay beside us because life comes with so many responsibilities.

My hope is that when that day comes, there will be a nurse there for me. Someone who will care for me with kindness, dignity, and compassion.

That thought made me appreciate our profession even more.

I know many of us chose nursing without fully knowing what awaited us. Some of us discovered our love for this profession along the way, through the lives we touched and the difference we made.

Nursing is not always easy. The long shifts, physical demands, emotional exhaustion, and responsibilities can be overwhelming. Sometimes, we may even feel that our efforts go unnoticed.

But please remember this:

Someone feels safer because you are there. Someone feels less alone because you care. Someone's dignity is protected because you help. And one day, we might be the ones who need that same care.

To every nurse working tirelessly, showing compassion even on the hardest days

We may not hear those words every day, but what we do matters more than we sometimes realize.

We are doing a wonderful job. Let's never forget the heart behind our profession. 🩺🤍

3 Difficulties I Faced When I Started a Digital Business

When I first started, it wasn't the business that scared me. It was my own thoughts.

1. I was an introvert.
I never liked being in front of the camera. I rarely took pictures of myself because I lacked confidence and often felt I wasn't good enough.

2. I wasn't a social media person.
I barely posted anything online. The thought of showing up on social media and sharing my journey felt overwhelming.

3. I worried about what people would think.
Would they think I was acting smart? Would they judge me? Would they talk about me behind my back? These thoughts constantly crossed my mind.

After speaking with my mentor several times,
I had no doubts about the legitimacy of the business.

My real challenge was overcoming my fears.

What helped me move forward was realizing two things:

✅ Nobody is going to put food on my table unless I am willing to work for it. I was the one working endless shifts, carrying the physical and mental strain. If I wanted a different outcome, I had to take different actions.

✅ I looked at ordinary people who were succeeding and thought, "If they can do it, why can't I?" I decided to give it my best, learn the skills, and stay consistent.

Looking back, I'm grateful I didn't let
fear make the decision for me.

Sometimes growth starts with doing the things that scare us the most.

The truth is, everyone in our team had different reasons.

Some wanted more time with their children.

Some were tired of overtime and missed family moments.

Some wanted a backup plan for uncertain times.

Some wanted to pay off debt faster.

Some dreamed of traveling more.

Some wanted choices instead of depending on one paycheck.

Some simply wanted to grow and challenge themselves.

Different stories.
Different goals.
One common decision:

We chose not to rely on a single source of income for our future.

ഒരു വർഷം മുൻപ് വരെ ഞാൻ രണ്ട് വ്യത്യസ്ത ആശുപത്രികളിൽ രണ്ട് nursing jobs ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.

വരുമാനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, പക്ഷേ ശാരീരികമായും മാനസികമായും ഞാൻ വളരെ tired ആയിരുന്നു.

നീണ്ട shifts, കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം ചെലവഴിക്കാനാകാത്ത സമയം, ഓരോ മാസവും ചെലവുകൾക്കായി അടുത്ത paycheck-നെ മാത്രം ആശ്രയിക്കേണ്ട അവസ്ഥ...

അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ഒരു കാര്യം മനസ്സിലാക്കി.
ജീവിതച്ചെലവ് കൂടുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പരാതിപ്പെടുന്നത് എന്റെ സാഹചര്യം മാറ്റില്ല. പക്ഷേ പുതിയ skills പഠിക്കുകയും, സ്വന്തമായി എന്തെങ്കിലും build ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത് മാറ്റം കൊണ്ടുവരാം.

ഇന്ന്, nursing career-നൊപ്പം മറ്റൊരു വഴിയും അന്വേഷിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ എടുത്ത ആ തീരുമാനത്തിന് ഞാൻ നന്ദിയുള്ളവളാണ്.
അടുത്ത വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ജീവിതച്ചെലവ് ഇനിയും കൂടാം.

എന്നാൽ ചോദ്യം ഇതാണ്:
ആ വർഷങ്ങൾ കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ ഇന്നുള്ള അതേ അവസ്ഥയിൽ തന്നെയായിരിക്കുമോ?

Yesterday's Go Getters US & Canada Team Meet was an incredible experience.

My heart is full of gratitude, inspiration, confidence, and positive energy.

The room was filled with encouragement, support, and people genuinely cheering each other on. It was a powerful reminder that we can achieve more when we grow together.

I am so thankful to God for allowing me to attend and connect with so many wonderful people. Most of us started as ordinary working individuals with little or no business experience, yet this journey has helped us see our potential, dream bigger, and think beyond our limitations.
