Join art therapy intern Kim Cota on September 15th for an art wrapping invitation.

The goal of this invitation is to provide a tactile, grounding experience that promotes emotional regulation, somatic awareness, and containment.

The initial free writing experience allows you to intentionally identify a memory, experience, or strength. As we move into wrapping the core, the rhythmic motion induces calm, allowing you to safely explore how it feels to physically hold and contain these words.

Open Art Studio Drop-In Sessions!

Join Kim Cota in a dedicated space designed for those who need the time, space, and materials to move their creative projects forward.

In a busy schedule, it can be difficult to carve out a few hours to focus on making. This time provides a low-pressure, self-guided environment where you can work on an existing project or experiment with something entirely new.

There are no formal lessons or critiques here. Instead, this is a space for creating in community. Whether you’re a lifelong artist or haven't picked up a tool in years, the focus is entirely on the process of creating at your own pace.

All are welcome!

Dates: August 13th, 2026

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery

Price: FREE!

Ages: 18+

Q***r Art Night!

Join us in a dedicated drop-in space for our q***r community to gather, create, and simply be. Facilitated by Kim Cota, an art therapy intern from the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, this session offers a zero-judgment environment to explore creative prompts or work on your own self-directed projects.

Q***r Art Night is a space for the q***r community to connect through the act of making. It is a low-pressure environment designed to prioritize "process over product," where you can show up exactly as you are. Whether you're looking for a new creative spark or just a supportive place to sit and work.

The evening is designed to be flexible. A variety of materials and a gentle, accessible art-making prompt are provided to help get your hands moving. However, following the prompt is entirely optional; you are always encouraged to bring your own ongoing work-in-progress or use the studio supplies to follow your own creative lead.

Date: August 12th, 2026

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: Route 22 Artist Collective Gallery

Price: FREE!

Ages: 18+

Basic supplies will be available to explore the creative prompts OR you can bring your own projects:
Works-in-progress: Any ongoing projects you would like to move forward.
Specialized tools: Any specific brushes, pens, or materials you prefer to use that are unique to your practice.
Reference materials: Any specific images or inspiration you are currently working from.
