I’m not sure exactly when this feeling or knowledge integrated within my soul, but if I were to really pinpoint it, I would guess it was right about around the time I started meditating, practicing self care and awareness around 5-6ish years ago. I started to look within and evaluate my core values, what mattered to me, what I believed in and WHO.

As a millennial and the generation that was introduced to computers and cell phones we have been the first generation to be overstimulated by technology. And we are the generation that is rooting back into the earth, connecting again to our traditional values, slowing down and looking back at our childhoods like that was the good life when we were completely unplugged. But we are also the generation that created the technology. The 40-60 year olds that… made everything and adapted to the advancement of tech and then propelled it.

Don’t get me wrong or twisted. As I sit here and make this content using technology, I’m still grateful for the way it has allowed me to connect. But, if I were to burn it all down all I would want at the end of it - would be a way to see and talk to my family. Everything else wouldn’t matter.

A little evening harvest in the garden 🍅🌱🫛🫘

Tonight I harvested my first zucchini! It’s the perfect size. I’m going to grill it for sure when I go camping this week because I love that charred flavour!
I did manage to get a handful of yellow bush beans despite whatever is living in my yard eating all my other plants. They got to this one before I put a good net around it which has stopped whatever in its tracks.
And I have a good amount of red & orange cherry tomatoes coming in - which is awesome!
