My name is Rowena H Dela Cruz, born and raised in the Philippines and currently residing in Calgary Alberta Canada. I am a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a Flight Attendant, a mentor, a successful Digital Business Owner but most especially a mother to a beautiful daughter Mykaela. I grew up in a poor family, my paternal grandfather and my aunt help my parents by raising me till I was fourteen. I lea

rned a lot from my Grandpa. He taught me how to fish, hunt, garden, and farm. My Aunt, on the other hand, influenced my passion for cooking as she is a great chef. I moved back and live with my family when I was about to turn fifteen. I stayed with them till I finished High School. In April of 1987, I went to Manila for college and graduated, and became a Midwife at 18. For 3 years, I juggled to find work. From being a nanny, nursing aid, and private midwife. But nothing really helps me to make a living. Hence, I went looking outside the country. March 26, 1992, when I went to Hong Kong and worked as a Domestic Helper for a lovely family. I was blessed to have them as they treated me as one of the members of their family. I stayed with them for ten years. We remain in touch with each the lives. It was June 10 2002 when I first set foot in this beautiful country called Canada. my journey did not start well as ten days after I arrived, I found myself looking for another job. Fortunately, met a family that requires a nanny to look after their kids while they go to work as both couples are pilots. The Garlicks family became my second family. They introduce me to WestJet Airlines in 2006 and became a Flight Attendant. I found this business when I found out I will be laid off last May of 2020. I realized I have no Plan B to fall back to and no backup plan in case I won't get recalled back to work. My daughter is also my Why, my main reason why I join this venture. With all the hardship and tribulation I experienced growing up, I want my daughter to have a better life, a secure future, and really happy. Staying home with her makes her happy and right now as I am furloughed again for the second time, she is enjoying my company. Making memorable memories that last a lifetime. Making up for the lost time because I was working a lot. Part of my why as well are my parents who have been living still in the poverty-stricken country. My parents gave everything to us their children and did not leave anything for themselves. I want my parents to have a decent life, after all, they sacrificed so much so I can have a better education and bright future. I owed it to them what I have today. Helping others to achieve their dream and have time and freedom became my goal. I am a mentor now and hope to be a coach to lead my team for our desire life. Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and followers.

My family celebrates it twice. Made Ham last Saturday as that's my daughter request. Today made turkey and Jiggs dinner. I made no bake cheese cake for dessert as well.

What is Jiggs Dinner? it is a meal well known from Newfoundland where my hubby is from. Basically, it is boiled salted beef, turnip, carrots, potatoes, cabbage and peas pudding ( place yellow peas on a bag while boiling). I love this meal. My mother in law always makes this whenever we visits. And since her passing in 2013, I had this meal twice. Once to a friend house and the other time was when I made it in 2015.

So many things to be grateful for. My heart is full of gratefulness.

Thank you God for giving me this beautiful life. Thank you Jesus for my family and friends, for my job and for everything.

To God be the Glory.

How I’m Saving Money (And Actually Enjoying It!)

Saving money used to feel like a chore—cutting back, saying no, and missing out. But lately, I’ve realized it’s not about giving things up; it’s about being creative and making smarter choices. And surprisingly? It can be fun.

Take my fur baby, for example. A trip to the groomer usually sets me back around $100. The first time I decided to do it myself, I was nervous. Armed with a pair of clippers, some YouTube tutorials, and a whole lot of patience, I gave it a shot. The result? A slightly uneven, but still adorable, pup—and an extra $100 in my pocket.

Then, I did it again. That’s $200 saved! And guess what? Each time, I’m getting a little better at it (and my dog is getting better at tolerating me).

That little win got me thinking: how many other ways can I save money without feeling like I’m missing out? I started questioning my spending habits. Did I really need to grab coffee every morning, or was I just in the habit? Could I swap dinner dates for homemade meals and still have just as much fun? Could I sell things I never use instead of letting them collect dust?

The best part? Saving money started feeling less like a sacrifice and more like a game. I challenged myself to see how much I could cut back without losing any of the joy in my life. And guess what? It worked.

Now, every time I make a choice that keeps money in my pocket—whether it's skipping an impulse buy or finding a free way to have fun—I get a little rush of satisfaction. It’s like I’m outsmarting the system. And the best part? That money I’m saving? It’s adding up.

So, if saving money has ever felt impossible or boring, try shifting your mindset. Instead of focusing on what you can’t spend, think about what you can do. Make it fun. Make it a challenge. And remember—you don’t have to be perfect. Even small changes add up.

What’s one way you’ve saved money recently? I’d love to hear your creative wins!

TGIF: The Freedom of Friday and the Power of an Online Business

There’s something magical about Fridays, isn’t there? For many, it marks the end of a long workweek, the start of a relaxing weekend, and a chance to recharge. But for me, Friday feels different—because I’ve built a life where my online business allows me to truly enjoy it.

No rushing to clock out. No anxiously counting down the hours. My Friday feels free, flexible, and full of possibilities.

Running an online business isn’t just about making money; it’s about creating a lifestyle. It’s about waking up on a Friday morning knowing you’re in control of your time. Whether that means working from your favorite coffee shop, exploring new opportunities, or simply taking the day off to unwind, the choice is yours.

When I first started my online business, I never imagined it would give me this level of freedom. But here’s the thing: it didn’t happen overnight. It took commitment, patience, and a clear vision of what I wanted my Fridays—and every other day—to look like.

So, here’s my message for you: If you’ve ever dreamed of more freedom, more flexibility, and more control over your life, consider what an online business could do for you. It’s not just about financial success; it’s about designing your life on your own terms.

As you head into the weekend, take a moment to reflect on what your ideal Friday looks like. What’s stopping you from making it a reality?

Happy Friday, everyone! Here’s to building a life that lets us truly enjoy it.

Thank God It’s Monday – The Freedom of Living Your Dream

It’s Monday morning. For many, this means the dreaded sound of an alarm clock, a rushed breakfast, and the familiar grind of the 9-5 routine. But not for me. Today, like every day, I wake up on my terms—no alarms, no rushing, no limits.

This freedom didn’t happen by chance; it’s the result of a decision I made to take control of my life. I remember being stuck in that cycle, working tirelessly just to make ends meet. I craved more—more time, more freedom, more fulfillment. And that’s when I realized: If I wanted to live the life I dreamed of, I had to take action.

That’s when I started my online business. It wasn’t easy at first, but the journey was worth it. Now, I’m not just surviving—I’m thriving. Mondays aren’t something I dread anymore; they’re just another opportunity to grow, connect, and live fully.

Your Dreams Are Worth the Risk

If you’re reading this and feeling stuck, I want you to know one thing: You have the power to change your story. It starts with a decision to stop settling for less and start building the life you truly want.

It’s not about luck—it’s about action. The life you’ve always dreamed of is waiting for you, but you have to take the first step. Don’t wait for the perfect moment or the right circumstances. Start now.

Why Not You? Why Not Today?

I know the fear of stepping into the unknown. But trust me, staying in your comfort zone will cost you more. The life you’re dreaming of isn’t just for someone else—it’s for YOU.

If I could do it, so can you.

Connect With Me

I’ve been where you are, and I’m here to help you take that leap. Whether you’re looking for advice, guidance, or just a push to get started, let’s connect. Together, we can turn your dreams into reality.

Live the life you’ve dreamed of. Make it happen. Start now.

Hello, December: A Month for Family, Joy, and New Beginnings

As we turn the page to December, there’s something magical in the air. The crisp chill, twinkling lights, and cozy vibes remind us that this isn’t just the end of the year—it’s a time to celebrate, reflect, and make memories with the people who matter most.

For me, December is all about family and togetherness. It’s the season to slow down, soak in the laughter, and create moments that will warm our hearts long after the decorations are packed away. Whether it's decorating the tree, baking cookies, or simply sitting around the table sharing stories, this month has a way of bringing us closer.

But December is also exciting for another reason—it’s the perfect time to dream. It’s a time to set intentions for the year ahead while cherishing the lessons and wins from the past months.

So, let’s embrace all the joy, love, and connection this season offers. Spend time with the ones you love, chase after the traditions that make your heart sing, and maybe even start some new ones.

Here’s to making December magical, together.

What are you most excited about this month? Share your plans—I’d love to hear!
